Seating Assessment

A Seating Specialist who has been clinically trained by Martina Tierney OT will visit at a time and place to suit you to carry out a free seating assessment. This can be a home, hospital or care facility. They can support an OT or Physiotherapist or assess the patient independently.

During the seating assessment*, the Seating Specialist will assess the patient’s condition and requirements as well as record critical measurements such as hip width and flexion along with further notes on their sitting and transfer technique. This ensures the best chair is recommended to suit the individual and that each chair provided fits the patient’s specific needs.

  • Lasts approximately 60 minutes.
  • The Seating Specialist will recommend a chair from our range to best suit the needs of the patient.
  • A free chair trial can then be arranged subject to availability.
